Esitteet ja raportit
This publication highlights the main achievements of ECI, plus its network of Copper Development Associations, throughout the last 15 years. Items are divided into those that have helped to grow and defend markets for copper products and those focused on maintaining the industry’s market access and licence to operate.
ECI and its network of national associations in Europe, collectively part of the Copper Alliance, continued its efforts to defend and grow markets for copper, ensure fair market access for copper products, and support the copper industry’s license to operate.
ECI and its network of national associations in Europe, collectively part of the Copper Alliance, bring together the copper industry to develop markets for copper, ensure fair market access for copper products and support the copper industry’s license to operate. This report presents our association’s main activities in 2016 and describes, where appropriate, how they fit into the European legislative agenda.
ECI, February 2015
ECI represents the copper industry in Europe and is also part of an international network of industry associations, funded by the copper industry, whose common mission is to defend and grow markets for copper, based on its superior technical performance and contribution to a higher quality of life. This network is unified by a common brand and visual identity – the Copper Alliance.
No. The system energy efficiency can also be achieved with conventional tubes (such as 3/8 inch diameter tubes) simply by using more tubes and thereby increasing the surface area available for heat transfer. Nevertheless, a penalty is paid in terms of the increased weight of tube material and fin material as well as increased refrigerant volume. In general, if larger diameter tubes are used then a larger coil size is necessary to achieve the same performance and energy efficiency that could be achieved in a more compact system with smaller diameter tubes.
No, they are made from steel coated with a thin layer of copper.
The rectification of defects by welding is not permitted on Class 1 and Class 2 forgings.

Suomessa ja muualla maailmassa tehdyissä sairaalatutkimuksissa on osoitettu, että kuparilla on vahva antimikrobinen ominaisuus. Myös laboratoriokokeissa on saatu rohkaisevia tuloksia: kupari ehkäisee tehokkaasti vaikeiden sairaalabakteerien, antibiooteille vastustus- kykyisten Staphylococcus aureuksen (MRSA) ja Enterococcus faecaliksen (VRE) sekä Clostridium difficilen, Escherichia colin (E. coli O157:H7) ja Legionella pneumophilan (keuhkokuumetta aiheuttava bakteeri) kasvun.
